(IT) Enterprise Architect

An outstanding opportunity presently exists for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join the IBM AS team. You will be working alongside the industry’s most capable and creative minds with responsibility for developing solutions that address and exceed client expectations. You will engage with top-tier clients, resolving their most complex business and technical challenges. The role of the Enterprise Architect is to work with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the projects strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets. The Enterprise Architect links the business mission, strategy, and processes of an organization to its IT strategy, and documents this using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner. The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience: Solution definition, application architecture and/or systems integration experience of commercial off the shelf software packages in the Production, Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain management domains. This would encompass non-ERP solutions such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Operations Intelligence and Decision Support, Advanced Planning and Scheduling, Asset Management etc, ideally in the Mining, Metals or Minerals Processing industry. Senior level experience including proven development of complex solution architectures Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts and frameworks including TOGAF and Zachman. Highly effective communication skills in particular an ability to explain complex architectural issues and concepts to IS Management and/or senior business stakeholders. Ability to work and provide leadership in a multi-sourced IS vendor environment. Experience and knowledge in the following will be highly regarded: Mining domain knowledge. SAP Supply Chain – Specific knowledge of SAP Supply Chain Management and current and emerging SAP Middleware solutions. SOA and Integration – SOA based SAP to MES Integration experience including planning and management of activities to progress SOA adoption strategies and technical architecture in particular for SAP to MES integration within a mining domain. Management – Manages and oversees the planning development of strategic architecture deliverables. This will include managing engagement with other Architects and Stakeholders in relation to SAP to MES Integration as well as managing Solution Architects. Stakeholder Engagement
